GuD Geotechnik und Dynamik Consult GmbH was founded in Berlin, Germany in 1980 under the name of GuD Grundbau und Dynamik Consult GmbH. The company is, together with the GuD Consult GmbH the core of the GuD Group of Companies today. GuD partners with other already established engineering offices or sets up new offices/branches itself, to reach as wide a customer range as possible with their services and to incorporate the necessary regional experience and expertise.
In order to achieve this goal GuD Geotechnik und Umweltgeologie GmbH was founded in 1990, with its registered office in Leipzig, Germany. Mainly projects from the regions of Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt are managed from there.
The Cologne branch of GuD Geotechnik und Dynamik Consult GmbH was founded in 2015. The branch was expanded from an existing project office in order to offer our services also in the Cologne area.
In 2016 the GuD became a partner in the Hamburg engineering office BBI Geo- und Umwelttechnik Ingenieur-Gesellschaft mbH to ensure continuance of that company, even after the upcoming retirement of the founders Peter Bahnsen and Franjo Böckmann. BBI is able look back on 25 years of successful operations in the entire Northern German region.
In 2019, a further branch of GuD Geotechnik und Dynamik Consult GmbH was founded in Frankfurt am Main in order to meet the increasing demand of our customers in the Rhine/Main region. The geotechnical and dynamic services are now also offered here.
In the beginning of 2022, GuD Offshore Wind Polska Sp. z o.o. was founded in Poland in order to cover the field of offshore wind energy internationally.
Since January 2023, the Mannheim-based GSP (Gesellschaft für Schwingungsuntersuchungen und dynamische Prüfmethoden mbH - Engineering Consultants for Vibration Analysis and Dynamic Testing Methods ), founded by Dr.-Ing. Oswald Klingmüller in 1991, has been part of the GuD group of companies. GSP's fields of activity include dynamic pile testing at home and abroad (onshore and offshore) as well as vibration measurements in the field of immission control and structural dynamic calculations.
GSP is the representative of Pile Dynamics, Inc., Cleveland, USA, the world's leading manufacturer of measurement technology, hardware and software for dynamic pile testing.
All companies in the GuD-Group and their employees work together in a close exchange, so that the well-founded know-how is available to all and a customer-oriented optimized processing is guaranteed.

For all hydraulic engineering projects, whether it be dams or dikes for flood control, or large locks and wharfage, geotechnical questions will be the predominant topic. Difficult boundary conditions are often imposed on the construction of wind turbines. Sea-side locations with complex wind and wave loads place particularly high requirements on foundation structures. GuD is involved in many offshore projects in the North Sea and Baltic Sea, conducting geotechnical surveys, expert appraisals and foundation consulting for their customers.
